In 2024, I worked with Downtown Tempe Authority to design a set of evergreen street pole banners inspired by the district’s historic and architectural icons. From the Hayden Flour Mill and Mill Avenue Bridge to A Mountain, The Three Blacktail Jackrabbits—a striking public art installation—and the Laird & Dines building, each illustration captures a piece of downtown Tempe’s unique character. We landed on a bold, pop-art style that reimagines the client’s color palette in a fresh way, creating a polished aesthetic for year-round placement. The designs debuted in the 2025 New Year’s installation and have since been incorporated into a recent website refresh.
